English for Dawah Purposes



Objective: To provide the skills necessary for the participant to engage in Dawah. Participants would be trained in communication skills, dialogue and terminology.
Course rationale: There are many that would like to do dawah but do not know where to begin. This course would help stimulate the desire in those that are willing to engage in dawah.
Requirements: Participants must have basic conversational skills in English and willing to complete tasks and assignments. Participants should have basic Islamic Knowledge and the love to want to make dawah.
Course Materials
a) Have You Discovered Its Real Beauty? By Dr. Naji Al-Arfaj
b) Just One Message! By Dr. Naji Al-Arfaj
c) The True Religion. By Dr. Bilal Phillips
d) The True Message of Jesus. By Dr. Bilal Phillips
e) Videos: Purpose of Life by Khalid Yassin and The Fog is Lifting
f) Materials found on websites: http://www.etawasol.org (http://www.etawasol.org/) ; http://www.sultan.org/ and http://www.islamworld.net/
g) A Dictionary of Religious Terms


Duration: 6 weeks – Weekly Friday sessions of 3 hours in class. 2 hours working on projects outside class .
